The Fergus Falls High School Marching Band heads into the 2009 marching season at 145 members strong. Past honors have included two appearances in the International Lions Parade, with a 1st place finish at Boston in 2006, and a 2nd place finish in the National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington D.C. Recently the Fergus Falls High School Marching was honored with an appearance in the historic 2009 Presidential Inaugural Parade.
This season begins on June 13th at Sumerfest in their hometown of Fergus Falls. Following that the band will perform at the Pioneerland Band Festival (Benson), “Hay” Days 125th Anniversary (Elizabeth), Willmar Fests (Willmar), and the Vikingland Band Festival (Alexandria). This season will conclude with the band performing in the International Lions Parade in Minneapolis.
The band will be performing the traditional march “Colonel Bogey” and our National March “Stars and Stripes Forever.” This summer’s routine will culminate with the band’s rendition of “Yankee Doodle Dandy.”
The band members, Fergus Falls High School, and the community of Fergus Falls all take pride in the Fergus Falls High School Marching Band. With this year's performances the band members hope that you “Share The Pride.”
